Verdigris” refers to the natural green patina that forms on copper over time—a visual transformation that perfectly reflects the company’s mission.
The name was born during a brainstorming session between the founders in a San Francisco apartment, as they envisioned a way to reveal what buildings keep hidden. Just as copper slowly transforms with time and exposure, Verdigris was built to uncover and illuminate the invisible: energy inefficiencies, equipment faults, and performance drifts that traditional systems miss.
It’s a poetic nod to the copper wiring at the heart of every building—and to the idea that, with the right technology, unseen infrastructure can tell a powerful story.
